Directors Corner October 2023
Autumn is a such a busy time for everyone. The RDKB has been busy with various meetings and most noteworthy is the Union of British Columbia Municipalities that was held late September. This provided an opportunity for representatives throughout the province to meet with the various ministries. A notable highlight is the announcement of over $4 million dollars to provide training to fight wildfires. Locally, through Boundary Community futures, the area has received funding to develop an Economic Development Plan for the Boundary Region and will be working with committees to collect feedback and ideas.
I hope everyone has had a bountiful fall with harvesting and getting ready for winter a priority. It’s such a beautiful time of year so enjoy the autumn colours and fresh air.
